Derek is a Class ‘A’ Level 5 Teaching Professional with more than 25 years of experience in teaching, coaching, managing golf operations and competing professionally. He is a long-time student of the game, receiving much of his guidance from PGA of Canada Hall of Fame members Alvin Thompson and Stan Leonard, and PGA of America member Stan Utley. He recently served as the technical swing coach for the UBC Men’s and Women's Golf Teams and has coached players on the RCGA National Junior Team and National Women’s Team. He has participated as an assistant coach at the RCGA Western Canada Player Development Camp and currently works with several university level team members.
As a player, Derek competed on the Canadian PGA Tour and the Australia / New Zealand PGA Tour. He has also played in Canadian Open qualifying events and reached second stage qualifying for the U.S. Open. Before turning professional, Derek competed in the U.S. Amateur (Chicago, Illinois), several Canadian and BC Amateur Championships and finished 7th in the Canadian Junior Championship.
A graduate of Oral Roberts University (Tulsa, Oklahoma), and member of the ORU NCAA Golf Team, Derek has coached more than a dozen students that have gone on to receive university scholarships for golf.
Derek's coaching philosophy is holistic in nature. From assessing ball flight to understanding the student's physical competencies and challenges, to defining their long-term goals, Derek works collaboratively with his students to create a strategy to improve each player's game and nurture a life-long love of golf.

Will is a Class 'A' member of the PGA of Australia and is excited to join the team at Fraserview Golf Academy. Having completed a three-year certification training program, he is both a highly qualified instructor and experienced tournament player who has competed in several events on the Australian PGA Tour. Will is passionate about the game of golf and looking forward to helping golfers improve their game.

Blake has been with the Fraserview Golf Academy for two years and is an active team member working with all levels of the junior development program as well as the adult Get Golf Ready program. He is a graduate of the Golf Management Program at Wilfred Laurier University and has a Diploma in Human Kinetics from Capilano University. Trained and certified as a NCCP Instructor of Beginner Golfers, Blake is also a licensed coach with Canada Soccer and Head Staff Coach with Port Moody Soccer Club. An experienced coach at many levels, Blake thoroughly enjoys helping people of all ages and skill levels reach their maximum potential.

Lincoln is a recent graduate of UBC and past president of the student body Golf Club.
He is a trained NCCP community level golf coach, a certified club-fitter and club-builder (Titleist, KZG, KBS and True Temper) and competitor on the Vancouver Golf Tour. Lincoln is passionate about introducing golf to juniors and beginning level golfers as well as helping people maximize their potential through the use of correctly fit equipment. Lincoln is the assistant coach with all Long Term Player Development Junior Programs at Fraserview Golf Academy.
