Junior 'Long-Term Player Development' (LTPD) Programs

Our LTPD programs are aligned with PGA of Canada, Golf Canada and Sport Canada guidelines and curriculums. Upon completion of each program, an FGA certificate is awarded to the student.
Our prices reflect our adherence to heightened safety protocols for the benefit of our students, staff and the public. We will continue to prioritize quality, value and affordability within the context of safety, in all we do.

1. "Learn to Golf" Programs
|
STARS: Active Start
Ages 4 - 6 | 12 classes (15 hours total) per session Note: each session runs on a weekly basis on Friday, 4:00 - 5:10 pm for 3 months. At this age level, children interested in golf benefit most from learning correct fundamentals in a fun and active learning environment that includes a mix of games, activities, skill building exercises and physical coordination activities.
Note: Juniors learn similar fundamentals in each session (rote learning).

COMETS: Fundamentals
Ages 7 - 11 | 12 classes (15 hours total) per session Note: each session will run on a weekly basis on Friday, 5:15 - 6:25 pm for 3 months. The COMETS Program continues to build and develop athletic movement and golf skills learned in the STARS Program, while also introducing on-course playing skills.
This program helps to prepare students who are interested in progressing to the Elite level programs in the future. Note: Juniors learn similar fundamentals in each session (rote learning).

METEORS: Development Level
Ages 7 - 12 | 17 classes (26 hours total) per session Note: each session will run on a weekly basis for 4 months. The METEORS Program aims to provide students with an intermediate level step towards learning on-course playing skills. Students will receive higher level skill development, an introduction to basic course strategies and metal-emotional-focus skills.
This program helps to bridge the gap between “Learn to Golf” and “Learn to Compete” programs for the future.

GIRLS' CLUB:
Learn To Golf Ages 7 - 12 | 17 classes (26 hours total) per session Note: each session will run on Tues 4:05-5:30 pm & Thurs 6:00-7:30 pm, for 3 months. The GIRLS' CLUB Program fosters the development of good golf fundamentals, life skills, positive self-esteem and confidence on the course. Group classes are socially interactive and include a mix of athletic training, a wide variety of golf skills, golf knowledge, social events, on-course playing skills and an introduction on how to prepare for competition.

ELITE TRAINING:
Learn to Compete Ages 9 - 14 | 39 classes (65+ hours total) Note: this program will run on Tues 5:45-7:30 pm & Thurs 4:05-5:30 pm, plus scheduled Wednesday Game Nights, for 6 months. The ELITE Training Level Program focuses on developing golf skills, positive self-esteem and confidence on the course. Group classes are socially interactive and include a mix of athletic training, golf fundamentals, golf knowledge and an introduction on how to prepare for competition.

ELITE GIRLS:
Learn to Compete Ages 9 - 18 | 39 classes (65+ hours total) Note: this program will run on Tues 4:05-5:30 pm & Thurs 5:45-7:30 pm for 6 months. The GIRLS CLUB Learn to Compete Program has been created for students who have participated in the regular program and are ready to move up to a more competitive level.
This program will appeal to students who enjoy golf as one of their primary activities and provide them with multiple opportunities to progressively develop competitive skills, along with a variety of fun, social events. Session: Mar. 4 - Sep. 16, 2025

ELITE PERFORM: Learn to Compete
Ages 12 - 18 | 41 classes (75+ hours total) Note: this program will run on Mon 4:05-5:30 pm & Fri 6:00-7:45 pm + Game Nights The ELITE Performance Level Program aims to continue developing and improving skills in all golf-related competencies, including core fundamentals, game knowledge and on-course playing skills - with an increased focus on the process of developing competitive skills and a tournament temperament.
In this 6 months program, students will build skills in goal-setting, prioritization, decision-making, focus, responsibility, perseverance, resiliency and confidence, which are essential to success both on and off the course. Session: Mar. 3 - Sep. 15, 2025

ELITE EXCEL: Train to Compete
Ages 12 - 18 | 45 classes (85+ hours total) Note: this program will run on Mon 5:45-7:00 & Thu 5:45-7:45 pm + Game Nights. The ELITE Excel Program is our highest-level long-term player development program and designed for students who are excelling at golf at a fast rate. It’s an opportunity for students who are passionate about improvement to further develop understanding and self-control in physical, mental, social and emotional skills relative to golf.
This will be a smaller class of students that have demonstrated - or are in the process of acquiring - skills for competitive year-round training and tournament play. Students will be accustomed to playing and practicing on their own time and showing genuine interest in excelling at all skills associated with high-level golf. One Session: Mar. 3 - Sep. 22

PLAYERS LEAGUE: Learn to Compete
Ages 14 - 18 | 12 classes + 7 Games/Events (20 hours coaching + 15 hours on course)
Note: Classes will run on scheduled Fridays 6:00-8:00 pm & scheduled Wednesdays 4:00-6:30 pm for Game Nights

The Players' League Golf Program is designed to provide university/college bound juniors with a very flexible schedule of golf coaching, skill development, social interaction, and a mix of competitive events. This is a “Learn to Compete” program and encourages regular games played on a variety of Vancouver public golf courses.
Running from March to August and offering several activities per month, instructors will provide a fun, socially interactive learning environment, focusing on athletic coordination, organized games, golf-specific skills, and education. By the end of the program, students will be well educated in practice, preparation and play in a full mix of recreational and competitive level golf. Past participation in one or more Academy LTPD Programs, or similar golf experience is preferred.
